Acronis True Image Home 2012 shows incorrect Backup Date
I have a scheduled incremental back up task which works OK apart from the fact that when I look at the created backup files they have a creation and modified date of April 2000 and increases day by day for each incremental backup. This causes me some concern that the backup is functioning correctly.
Is this an Acronis or a Windows problem? Can I reset the date in the program somewhere?
For further information.
I am using Acronis True Image Home 2012, Update 2.1 build 7133. I have not changed Windows time zones or dates. These are file/folder backups. However, when I look back at my earlier Full Disk/Partition backups the date displayed is correct. The date shown on the Incremental backup is April 2000 and increases each day. The older files are over-written every 7 days. The True Image Logs all display the correct date?

Synced File Dates not consistent with the original Files.??? HOW F***(& LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU PEOPLE TO FIX THIS?
The program has a serious bug. Sync between hard drive and a USB device on the same computer. Follow all directions. Review synced files on the target and they are consistent with the originating file. USB device has proper original dates for files in the synced folder which agree with the dates on the originating folder on the hard drive.
Shut down cpu and reboot. Now originating folder contains files which are all of equal date usually the date of a previous Acronis Disk Backup File(?!) ; but the target device (USB Flash Drive) now contains weird dates like 3/26/2073. Note... not all files in the Target location are equal... they are versions of a future date but seem to have the month consistent with the old originating file.
However, other target folders on the same USB device run at the same time from other Syncs contain files that are all dated equally - again, often the same date as a previous Backup file.
So this prompts me to abandon this crappy software and move to a competitor.... money back please.... !

You're not talking to Acronis here. This is primarily a user-to-user forum. If you wish to complain to Acronis, contact them directly.

Great Point - Thanks.
The post was a copy from a post to Acronis... getting no response and they want me to pay $10... so I was a little ticked off. Problems continue.

Something is ringing a bell where another user (just the one) had a similar though not the same problem, I'll search my memory banks to see if i can find it.
In the meantime:
1. Has it always done this or suddenly started doing this?
2. What build of 2013 are you using?
3. Are these disk/partition images or file and folder backups?
4. Have you changed your Windows time zone recently?
5. If the files are disk/partition image files are you able to mount them and do the dates look correct on the virtual disk? If it is a files and folders backup, ditto above by 'exploring' them.
6. What times and dates are shown in the True Image log?
Just an aside, your post has slipped into the Acronis Security Products section, if you edit your post and select the True Image - Older versions section and click on move, this will then appear in the 2012 section where more users will see it and perhpas offer help.

+1
Colin, there may be more than you know. See attached from backups made with ATI 2012, Update 2, build 7119.

Gus,
If files stored outside our computer such as a NAS or other self contained storage, these other storage devices also influence the dates assigned to files. Doube check the date their bios is using as well. There was a similar recent posting and the cause was the storage device date.
