File system error during cloning: 458,777 'File record corrupted
Here is the full message from the log:
Failed to prepare operations. Error code: 10 'File system error is found'
with extended code: 458,777 'File record corrupted
I am trying to Clone a 750GB drive that is dual-booting windows 7 and windows 8.1 on to a new WD 2 TB drive and I get the error above. I search for support on the Acronis website, and while it has a few 'File system error is found' entries, there are non with my specific error: File record corrupted.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

You need to run CHKDSK on the drive. For example CHKDSK X: /R where X is the drive you wish to check. This can take several hours depending on the size f the drive.

I ran chkdsk and came up with no errors on both partitions, the win 7 and win 8.

You need to run the chkdsk command on all partions including hidden partitons on the disk. Both Win 7 and 8 installs contain hidden partitions. You can view these partitions using Windows Disk Management Console and you can temporarily assign drive letters to these hidden partitions using the console so that chkdsk can be run on each of them.
Remember to remove these temporary drive letters from the partitions after chkdsk completes.

I was wondering how to check the hidden partitions, this helps. I will check them out and report back. I assume after the scan I can just undo the drive letter assignment. Thank you!
