Clone Disk Wizard Hangs/Freezes

Thread needs solution

Upgrading the SSD on my Dell Latitide 3330 from a 128MB SSD to a 512MB SSD, and using the tutorial here:

https://kb.acronis.com/content/2931

Unfortunately, the Clone Mode / Automatic never gets to the final step. Once you select the Target Hard Disk and click Next, the "Finish" window never appears, and the "Review the operation on the Summary window, and click Proceed to start the cloning:" is never an option. Instead, it just flashes a small window that says "Acronis True Image" for a split second and disappears. You can click "Next" over and over again and it does not advance. Frustrating.

Any known issues or workarounds to fix this? Thanks.

I'm going through Manual mode right now and it appears to be working, although I wasn't able to use the extra space on the drive yet. I'm hoping that when it finishes and boots into windows I'll be able to partition that extra space and use the drive, right? Should I use Acronis or Windows for that?

Once manual mode was completed, upon reboot, windows errored with "Invalid Partition table!", and now will only boot to windows if you chose 'windows boot manager' in the boot menu. Don't have access to the 512GB of space either.

Is there a way to fix the partition table, and is there a way to access the rest of the drive? Please advise. Thanks.

Fixed, just reset the boot order in the BIOS to hit "Windows Boot Manager" first, then allocated the 350 odd gigs of unpartitioned space with Windows Partition Manager. Happy.
