Creating a complete backup of disk containing Windows installation.

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I currently have an SSD installed in my PC, and it is the only drive in the PC, meaning it contains Windows and all my program installation files.

I want to use Acronis to backup the disk so that in the event of the SSD failing, I would be able to take the saved backups and apply them to a new SSD so that I don't lose anything, and I want to be able to just put the new SSD in the system and carry on as if nothing happened.

Is this possible with Acronis, and if so, how can I do it?

Thanks :)

Make a full disk mode backup, which includes all partitions (even hidden ones), to an external HD. That will include everything: Windows; all your settings; all your installed software applications; all your data; ... everything.

Each backup is saved as a compressed .tib archive. As such, multiple .tib archives may be saved to a single backup drive, allowing for greater redundancy, security and flexibility.

Once a full disk image .tib archive is restored to a drive, the result is the same as if that drive had been the target of a clone done on the date and time that the backup archive was created.
