ATI Home 2010 install help needed!

Thread needs solution

Hello All,
I have ATI 11 Home installed in WinXp and everything works fine.

I've decided to upgrade to ATI Home 2010.
The download went fine, But when I tried to install I received the message;

Installation Incomplete

The installation was interupted before Acronis True Image Home. You need to
restart the installer to try again.

The following products could not be removed automatically since they were installed on a per-user basis (the products are available for only one user of this computer). Uninstall these products and then restart installation.

What are these 'products' and how can I find and uninstall them?

Thank You!

You probably should have uninstalled ver 11 before installing 2010, even if it is an Upgrade version. I believe the upgrade just requires you to have the serial number of the old version as well as the serial for the upgrade.

Thanks!

I'll try an uninstall of 11 and see what happens.

Just a thought though, Wouldn't an upgrade uninstall a previous version automatically?

It depends on how the programmers configured the upgrade. And with Acronis you never know what surprises are in store for you - you have to go by what other users have found.

Hello eZAK,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to give you a clear explanation.

In case the issue persists make sure that you are installing the latest build of the product. You can download the latest build from your account under registered products.

Try cleaning up the C:\Documents and Settings\[Account Name]\Local Settings\Temp folder.

If the issue persists create MSI log file using the following KB article and attach to your next reply.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Thanks for your replies!

Here is an update;
While preparing to uninstall ATI 11 I noticed that I had a plugin installed [BartPE].
After deleting this, the install went off with out a hitch.

I am now up and running.
