Partition with backup image isn't present when doing a recovery
I downloaded the trial version of 2014.
SSD #1 - Has two partitions, (c:\) windows 7 and another partition labeled (G:) to place acronis backups.
SSD #2 - (F:) Empty drive
I backed up the (C:) win 7 partition to the (G:) partition of the same hard drive. When I try to do a recovery with F11/2014 rescue media i do not see the partition containing my backup.
I moved the backup file to SSD2 (F:) and when i try recovery with F11 I can now see the backup file. Why can i see it on the second drive but not on drive G:
We have a full version of acronis recovery 10 on a different pc. I did the same setup as above and when i boot from the rescue cd i see both drives. I tried the rescue cd created with acronis recovery 10 on the pc with the trial of acronis 2014 and when i try a recovery i see both SSD1 and SSD2 with the backup images. Is there why i can see the files with a rescue disc from an older version?

There may be a cause here as the trial version is feature limited.
Try booting from the TI Recovery CD.
Do NOT use the F11 but let it boot into the CD and display the CD Menu.
You have only a very few seconds to choose the TrueImage program button before it auto boots back into Windows.
Be careful in your choice of version identification.
There is the old version 10
and then, there is the newer version 2010 which is also seveal years old.
If you mean version 2010, be sure and refer to as version 2010 as these are two totally different versions and features.
