use one of the solutions in KB 27618 - or just leave the script alone

Thread needs solution

When my consolidation script gets corrupted - i.e. I get the error message for KB 27618 - https://kb.acronis.com/content/27618
I have tried both solutions in KB 27618 and am not satisfied with either. I usually just leave the script alone and it works itself out in a week or 2
ATI2014
Win7 - 64bit Home Premium
For example
Schema - Daily-I7dougW7-Data1 scheme which is FULL + 3 increments and keep only 2 chains. (i.e. keep for 1 week)
Background
1.1 when I use 1st solution, delete the Script for the Schema Daily-I7dougW7-Data1, I end up recreating with a new name so that I start again with FULL i.e. new schema name changed to - Daily-I7dougW7-Data2
1.2 when I use 2nd solution - the error messages go away but I no longer have the script info for validation of my other backup schemes - this seems drastic
1.3 - I usually check the log to verify the cause of my message and live with the error messages until ATI2014 has worked through the problem

I will comment in more detail later but for now a question:

What is the your time period covered by the single chain (1 full plus 3 incrementals)?

or,
if the above is not a week, how many more inc to you need to have 1 chain =1 week

What type backups do you prefer?
Full only
Full with X incrementals
Full with X differentials.
