Using Acronis True Image 11 [or 10] Rescue CD to create image and restore image for Windows 7 and Vista

I scanned the forums, but did not find a clear discussion of this particular issue:

I own registered copies of ATI 10 and the 11 upgrade. I normally use the Linux OS-based
rescue CD from Version 11 to create a disk image and incremental additions, then use the
same disk to restore the image after a crash or disaster or when
upgrading to a new hard drive.

I have used this successfully with XP and Linux.

Will this work with with Windows 7 and Vista in the same way?
