Hard drive recognition and bootable CD
I currently use Acronis 2011 (and previouslt version 8.0) and these have worked well for me for years.
Recently I have bought new PCs and found that I get an error that the disk drives are not recognised. My latest new PC arrived yesterday and neither of the two hard drives, nor the SSD, were recognised in Full Mode. They were recognised in Safe Mode but a partition backup (with 20gb in it) ran in about 2 seconds and produced a file about 1.8mb in size so I guess that hadn't worked properly!
If I now upgrade to the 2015 version, will this work? The new disks are SATA III. I'm happy to do so but would like to be assured that Acronis 2015 will work on the hardware I have.
Also, I have always preferred to take backups as I need them, running Acronis as a bootable CD rather than having it installed. Is this possible with the 2015 version?
Thankyou

Trevor,
All I can say is that TI 2015 recognises my Samsung and Crucial SSDs. I can only suggest downloading the trial version and see how things go with your system.
When you say 2011 do you mean TIH 11, TIH 2011 or Acronis Backup and Security 2011? Your problem sounds as though TI is having a problem with the Windows drivers for your setup.
