What is it doing?

Thread needs solution

I have it run daily at 11 PM. There's no syncing, no validating, no reserve copy, nothing extra. It's just full every 13 differential versions, with Store no more than 3 recent version chains.

However, at several times of the day I will see TrueImage.exe *32 running in my Processes, taking up about 50% of my CPU, for hours on end.

It doesn't change the last modified time of any of my backups.

What could it be doing? I like the backups, but it bogs down my computer most of the day.

Thanks!

Just an FYI: Cleanup of your old backups will begin after backup #43 after the full for chain 4 has been completed at which time chain 1 of 14 files wlll be deleted, keeping chain 2, 3 and whatever exists of chain 4.

You might try turning off "automatic updates" so it will stop checking the web.
Also, you can change the services for Nonstop backup and SynAgent.
I have both of these set to stop and disabled.

Thanks. Even though I never set up Nonstop backup, that was what it was doing. It wasn't actually backing up anywhere, just wasting CPU cycles. Once I disabled the service, all was well. :-)
