Windows 7 Compatibility

Thread needs solution

I Have Acronis Ture Image Home Version 10.0 build 4942

It works fine on Vista but as I am thinking of trying to move over to Win7 64 bit will this product do it or do I need to upgrade?

If the latter which is the most effective way to upgrade as the Acronis site is very confusing re upgrade paths.

Anyone at Acronis any guidance?

Hello Goddard Chris,

Thank you very much for your post. I will be happy to assist you.

Currently Acronis True Image 2010 Home supports Windows 7. You can read about supported operating systems here.

The best way to upgrade would be to navigate to the following link and press on the upgrade button. After the purchase you will be issued a serial number together with a download link.

When installing, after adding the upgrade serial number our software will prompt you to add the previous version's serial number. In your case, it would be Acronis True Image 10 Home serial number.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

One of the MVP's, Kolo, has written a guide for getting Ver 10 to work with Win 7. Do a search for it - it is probably a couple of months ago that he wrote it. The gist of the solution is to rename the installation executable.
