Version Count Problem [SOLVED]
I wanted to start my backup regime from scratch so deleted the backup settings and moved the existing backup files (in explorer). I then created a new set of settings and ran the backup which showed 'Versions= 5". Appreciate its probably something I've done rather than a fault with the software but any ideas as to how I start a new backup regime from versions=1?

I tried this but it didn't exactly yeild the desired result. I have an incremental task which so far only has one version: the full backup. Acronis was showing a version count of 2 so I renamed archive.xml to archive.xml.old and allowed Acronis to recreate it. Now, instead of showing a version count of 1 it says "not backed up yet". This has the effect of creating another full backup with "-2" and the version count becomes 2 even though the original full backup does not appear as a previous version if I attempt a restore. This kicks in the autoconsolidate feature as the two files together exceed the size threshold I've set, and the consolidation fails.
The only way I've managed to fix this before is to completely remove Acronis using the cleanup tool and then reinstall. This also only worked if I deleted all my backup files and started again from scratch. Browsing for it only returned me to the above situation. If I just delete and start again without removing and reinstalling, see above!
Even after removing and reinstalling, deleting everything and starting again, the slightest error (usually caused by the program prompting me for input during an unattended operation, when I'm miles away and cannot respond for hours) will cause the problem to return; this is becoming a right royal pain.
