0x10d00e error

Thread needs solution

I've been using Acronis for years without a problem. I'm using TI2013 activated on two Windows 8.1 computers fine. But trying out 2014 on a Dell Inspiron 8.1 laptop I can make backups but when I try to restore using the TI2014 installed on the C drive I get as far as reboot and then an error message reading 0x10d00e and a file not found. However, I can reboot and restore successfully from the Restore CD I made. Can you please suggest a fix for this.

Thanks,
Alan

Your error is a runtime error. Can you state the exact error message?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. The computer in question is a new Dell Inspiron i5 running Acronis 2014 Trial under Windows 8.1. The full message is:

Starting Acronis UEFI Loader...
Runtime error:
Error 0x10d00e: Failed to find.
line info: Oxec492506f42e4db
$module: bootwiz_efia64

If I set the bios for Legacy Boot then reboot I can go into the bios and adjust the boot sequence with the CD drive first and then use the Recovery CD to Restore. However, it's much more straightforward to be able to restore directly from within Windows. I can do that with Acronis 2013 without a problem with my other two Windows 8.1 computers.

Best,
Alan
