manual restore to resize c: partition on larger drive - partition sequence?
The sequence of partitions in the restore dialog does not manage the sequence of partitions in Windows Disk Manager. I need to restore all partitions but increase the C: partition to take up the new space on the larger drive. How should I proceed so I don't wind up with a drive that won't boot because MBR (or Windows wininit) is looking at the wrong boot partition?
Thanks for any ideas with this.

Michael,
If your system is Windows 7 and MBR type partitioning, look at my signature link 3, item 1 inside that link.
This guide illustrates how to restore individual partitions and to custom size to your needs.
Do more than just skim read as it can be very helpful.
Normally, only the Windows Drive C and a Data partition (if one exists) is resized.
Restore in the same sequence as shown in Windows Disk Management graphical view.
Look carefully at the data shown inside the Disk Management pictures and you should see
which partitions is the active partitions.

My "old" computer has 32RAM and 64 bits Windows 7 Pro. Its hard drive is only 500Giga.
My "new" computer is just like my "old" computer, except that the hard drive is 7Terabytes.
Question #1: Which True Image Backup (2014 or 2015) would do a better and easier job of creating a 500gB
partition on my "new computer" and then creating an image on the new partition, so as to leave me
with approx. 6.5Tera with which to work and store files.
Note that I already have Acronis PC Backup and Recovery (True Image 2013 by Acronis) Installed on
my "old" computer.
