how to do an incremental backup

Thread needs solution

About a week ago I purchased Acronis True Image 2015 for PC. I have backed up my entire PC to an external hard drive and now want to do either an incremental or differential backup. I can find no instructions anywhere about how to do this (only comments on the different types of backup). I thought there would be a screen where I could choose between incremental or differential? Can someone tell me how the steps involved in doing this, and how I select the type of backup I need.

I don't know the build number of my product but it is a very recent download.

thanks Mary

With Acronis, you set backup tasks up. A backup task can be single version, incremental or differential. In each case, the first backup of the task is a full backup. When the scheduler or you run it AGAIN, the following backup is a full, incremental or differential.

If the backup you created is the default "entire PC" backup task, it has created a full backup and has been set by default as an incremental backup., Run it again to create the following incremental.

Also, FYI, in Acronis True Image (ATI) a backup chain is the combination of the first full and all the following differentials or incrementals based on that full.
