Delete specific versions of a backup
I have one Full backup and three differential versions based upon it.
The drive is now full and I would like to delete just the oldest one and then make a new differential copy of the backup.
This was easy in 2014. i just browsed the timeline and deleted the version. How do you do the same in 2015?
Thanks,
Rich

Good. Not just me then. As far as I can find there is not automated way to limit copies and no way to delete them other than doing it by hand using windows which then messes up the database.

2015 (as well as 2012-2013-2014) is capable of creating backup schemes which will provide automatic cleanup of older versions based on how many chains you wish to retain.
GH12. Create Custom Incremental Backup Scheme. 6 Inc, Keep 4 chains. The 6-4 is an example only with user choice for whatever number of chains to be retained best fits the individual needs.
Note/example: If rule selected is "Delete older than 7 days" is selected, deletion will not begin until the first chain (7 files) is completed and entire chain is older
This can also help.
