Running Acronis 2015 alongside Acronis 2013

Thread needs solution

As I was not enjoying the 2015 user interface, I decided to revert back to 2013.
This was duly downloaded and confirmed as successfully installed, but the application would not start from the confirmation window. On inspection there was no sign of the installation in the 'Programme Files' folders.
Above procedure repeated - same result.
2015 is still installed.
Can anyone help?

You have to uninstall 2015 prior to reinstall of 2013. Strongly suggest you run the cleanup utility after the uninstall of 2015

Further to your advice above, I decided to uninstall TI 2015.
When clicking the Uninstall button in Windows Control Panel, I get a runtime error as follows:
"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way
Please contact the application's support team for more information"
Has anyone encountered this problem?

I believe you will have better success using the built in uninstaller, to run that you would need to run the install .exe file again. Locate that file, select it, double click, and you should see a menu appear with an option to uninstall.

Thank you Enchantech.
I located the Uninstall application in C/Programme Files(x86)/Acronis/TrueImageHome/ and double clicked it, receiving the message "No True Image components found" Tried a TI 2013 install with no result
I am tempted to try to delete the Acronis folder but fear this may compound the problem!
Any ideas?
Jim.

Did you aquire the 2015 version on a CD or was it a downloaded executable file? If it was a downloaded file that is the file you need to run again to get to the menu. However in reading your last post I believe you may have the application on CD. If so I think running the CD again will bring up the menu.

If those options fail your next best bet is a third party Uninstaller. My favorite is Revo Uninstaller but there are others available.

Both the 13 and the 15 versions of TI are downloads from the Acronis site.
I downloaded and ran the free Revo Uninstaller but still have the application files showing in Windows Explorer.
I then tried downloading the 2015 app from Acronis and hitting the Repair button. Hey Presto. I have the 2015 app working again so at least I can catch up with the missed backups.
In the short term I will persevere with the cumbersome UI on 2015 and wait until I have some spare time to try a change to 2013 - or perhaps we will have a 2016 option by then! :-)
Many thanks for your help Enchantech, its great to have you guys to fall back on.
Jim.
