Validated Backup becomes corrupt after one month
I am using Acronis True Image Home 2012 on a Dell laptop running Windows 7. I used an external drive to make a full backup and set the scheduler to Turned Off. When it was done, i validated the backup and it validated. This was on October 4, 2014. Now this backup shows as Corrupt. I clicked View Log and it shows that the backup was successful and the validation also was successful. They both have green circles with a check mark inside. But the log also shows that a backup validation was attempted every month thereafter; Nov 4, Dec. 4, Jan 4, Feb. 4 and these all show as corrupt with a red circle and an X inside. I did not attempt any validation on these dates and the external hard drive was never connected during those months. So is the original backup still valid and useable? Is it only the failed validations that are corrupt? How can I stop the program from attempting to validate the back up every month?
Thank you in advance for any help and advice you can provide.

Thanks loads Dave. You are correct. I unchecked that monthly option and I am now confident that all is well.
Again, thank you Dave.

You're welcome! If you have further issues with that backup task, you may want to consider creating a new one. One of the long-time members here, GroverH, recommends not going back and editing a task because it may cause problems. So keep this in mind as you go forward.
