lost interrupt problems on Gateway M280e
Hello,
I've used TI 10 with both CD and USB hard drive, with success, on two desktops -
one HP and one custom. I originally purchased TI 9, but after some problems, you had me
download a special CD image for use as a boot disk. I believe it was TI 10.
Today, I started using another computer - a used Gateway tablet (M280E). It will not
boot Acronis. All three methods that I've used have failed with the same problem.
I've tried image recovery from the TI 9 Desktop shortcut, from the TI 9 installation disk,
and from the TI 10 special CD image that you had sent me a couple of years ago. All three
produce this:
ACRONIS
Loading, Please Wait
hdc: lost interrupt
hdc: lost interrupt
hdc: lost interrupt
.
.
(ad infiniteum)
All were destined to access an image on 250GB Western Digital My Passport USB drive, but never
got to it.
Here are some minimal specs:
Gateway M280E
Intel Pentium M 1.73GHz
512 MB RAM
Windows Xp Tablet 2005 SP3
Can anyone help me ?
Thanks, Bob

Hello,
MudCrab, many thanks for your help.
Bob, I may recommend you to download a new ISO image for Acronis True Image 10 Home and check if it works for you:
- Log in to your account (if you do not have one, you will need to create it);
- Once logged in, click My Products & Downloads:
- Scroll down to the registered product and click Bootable Media:
- Click Download:
-
Acronis Bootable Media will be downloaded as an ISO file. See Burning an ISO Image.
If the issue still persists, please try solutions MudCrab mentioned in the previous reply.
Thank you.

Hello again,
First, I need to correct my original report !
The lost interrupt problem does not continue
ad infiniteum. After (7) lost interrupts my
machine boots into TI ! However, by the
time it starts to analyze the C: partition,
it runs very, very, very slowly (unusable) !

Ilya,
I did not find a "Bootable Media" tab under either
of my accounts. My other account (al - aloco1@gulftel.com),
where I originally registered TI 9, does not have that tab !
---------------------------------------------------------
MudCrab,
I tried altering the "quiet" line with my TI 9 installation disk.
The text box came up when F11 was chosen and I completed
the text (as in the "before you post" instructions). No change in
behavior. I could not complete this with the special TI 10 CD -
there was no chance to use F11.
I installed the trial version of TI 2010 and it works perfectly
(backup and restore). I created the emergency boot CD and
it also works perfectly. Question: Will the CD work after
the 30-day trial ends ? Or, will I be forced into a $50 upgrade
to TI 2010 ?
Thanks again, Bob

The trial version of the CD will continue to do restores after the trial period is over.
