Try and Decide Problem
I'm using Acronis True Image Home 2014, recently I have encountered a problem when using Try and Decide. If I start Try and Decide and reboot I get the message from Acronis to continue in Try and Decide mode or discard, if I choose continue I see Starting Acronis Loader which then moves on to a black screen and hangs doing nothing ( it doesn't move on to the Windows Boot Loader) and I have to reboot to get out of it. (I have a multi boot system).
If I choose discard it moves to the boot choices screen as normal and the system starts and runs normally . I'm using windows 7 on both multi boot systems.
I've tried uninstalling Acronis and reinstalling but that didn't help.
I haven't installed any new software recently that I'm aware of.
I have notice others with similar issues on this forum but no answers that I can find.
I've used Try and Decide regularly up until recently without this problem so hoping someone can help me find a solution.

Hi Mike,
This is per the documentation for using T & D with a multi-boot system.
If you have chosen Discard Changes and rebooted the computer with multiple operating systems installed, you won’t be able to boot other operating systems except the one used for working in the Try mode. A second reboot will recover the original MBR and make other operating systems bootable.
Builds available 6614, 6673, 6688. Please ensure you are using the latest.
If you have enabled or are using ASR (F11), please disable this feature
I understand the issue you are reporting. I can only think of two reasons why you would not be able to continue to use T & D with the same OS across a reboot.
Not enough free disk space
Or incompatibility with USB, display or storage controller drivers. I doubt this has to do with the boot manager, as you indicated this feature worked for you previously.

Hi Shadowsports,
thanks for the response. I'm using the latest build and have never used or enabled ASR. Information as per documentation for multiboot is also being followed.
Disc space is not an issue and I have tried moving T & D to different partitions some of which have 100 + GB of free space but doesn't help.
I've tried unplugging all USB peripherals which didn't help either.
I did install a new Nvidia graphics card recently and updated the Bios and graphics software but can't remember if the issues with T & D occurred before or after that as I've had this issue for a few weeks now. So that may be the problem, don't recall updating any other drivers.
I have tried just about everything I can think of from Bios tweaks to uninstalling and installing an old version of Acronis True Image 2013 none of which helped at all.
I did look into updating to Acronis True Image 2015 but saw that version doesn't include T & D anymore which is a very disappointing change I have to say.
So not sure where to go from here unless you have any other suggestions.
