ATI 2015 and Windows 10?
Will ATI 2015 work on Windows 10, which I believe will be released soon? I just signed up on the MS web site to get notified when it's available- which will be free for Win 7 + Win 8.1 users- and, I believe, it will install over those without reinstalling programs/files.
One reason I look forward to Windows 10 is that I've had a huge problem installing a Win 8.1 service pack- it blew up my boot drive, which I managed to restore thanks to ATI 2015, once it dawned on my how to trigger the restore by right clicking on the chosen .tib file.
I don't care to go through that trauma again, so hopefully, installing Win 10 will get me back to a safe condition and I can forget that service pack upgrade problem.

Let me clarify. The Windows 10 Free upgrade (where only the OS gets updated) requires the service packs. Here is a link to that info

Storageman, here's what I don't understand- how can tell if I have that service pack installed? (I think it's referred to as W8.1 S14). I bought my Dell in Nov., 2104. Does that service pack have a specific number identification in the list of installed upgrades? It came out in April, 2014. Since I got this Dell last November I've done a lot of upgrades but I don't know if they included the S14- if I knew the number to look for in the list of installed upgrades I can look for it.
And, somewhere on the computer it must say what the current OS is and its version- not sure where.

The key is the build number. You need to be at 6.3.9600 Build 9600. Hit the windows key + R. Then type in msinfo32. This list the version. If you see 9600, your good to go.
