Operations are in progress, please wait..

Thread needs solution

Sometimes shutting down my computer, a blue screen with this message appears:

"Operations are in progress, please wait. The machine will be turned off automatically after the operation are complete."

and I have to reset my computer since it remains forever!

I suppose it's caused by ATI 2015 I installed in Windows..

Is there a way to avoid it?

Here is what is recommended in such cases.

You can search this Forum for the same symptom to find what has or has not worked for others as well.

You link says to go into Options -> Machine Options.. but I haven't any Option menu in my "Acronis True Image 2015 for PC".

And moreover I haven't voluntarily scheduled any backup in Windows since I always do it from the rescue bootable CD.

How can I deactive this schedule?

The Options referred to in the Article are specific to Acronis Backup and Recovery, a different product. The 1 thru 4 list above that apply to TI 2015. Since you do not have a scheduled task then if it is TI causing your problem you will need to discover what process that is. Look under the More Information part of the Article and you will see Process Monitor and AcronisInfo Utility. Click on each (see ............) link to learn how to collect the information needed to find out which process is causing the problem if in fact it is TI 2015 related. It is possible that there is another process running from some other program installed or even a Windows process on your machine which is causing the problem. The message you at getting at shutdown is a general Windows message when an application process is running and shutdown is requested and is not specific to TI.

Isn't that message by TI? I thought so..

It most likely is associated with TI. In general terms the message is a generic windows message. For example I have a machine that has an app installed that delays shutdown until it successfully closes that displays this same message on screen. Without narrowing down the process or service causing the issue you are not going to be able to figure out what or why this is occurring thus no hope of possible problem resolution.
