Acronis WD Edition Failed to clone and NTLDR not found on my original disk now - W10

Thread needs solution

Had a disk failure in a RAID 1 mirror system. Moved Mirrored disk to C: It is a WD 500GB disc. Placed new WD 1TB disk in system. Downloaded Acronis WD edition and tried to clone C drive to 1TB drive. The system restarted and I got the NTLDR error (repeatedly) on boot. Changed BIOS to boot off 1TB drive, it loaded and cloned. When it restarted W10 loads but then hangs into a black screen with no further response. Still have NTLDR error on C:

Cannot get either drive to respond now. OS - W10

Make sure you perform the clone from the computer booted on the Acronis recovery medium:
- put the new disk on the connector of the old disk
- put the old disk on some other connector, ideally a USB sata adapter. At least, I'd avoid a connector connected to your disk controller set up as a RAID 1
- boot the computer on the recovery medim
- clone the disk
- detach the source disk
- boot the computer

NB: I am assuming you have a hardware raid 1 (ie set up in BIOS, not in Windows)
