Program won't open at all

Thread needs solution

I had Acronis True Image 2015 on my Windows Vista computer since last May and, as far as I know, it's been working fine. Today however I wanted to open the program to create a new full backup and nothing happened. I clicked on the desktop shortcut, or the program directly, and nothing happens. The little circular icon – indicating the program is loading – appears for a few seconds and then goes away. Can someone tell me what is going on? Thank you.

Not sure but one place to look would be the processes to make sure you only have one instance of TrueImage.exe running.

I did that but no, there is only one instance of TrueImage running. Just to make sure I removed all TrueImage related processes and started over, by clicking on the shortcut. TrueImage.exe then reappeared in the processes but did not open.

Had the same problem - would click to start atih and get nothing. Ended up uninstalling atih, reinstalling the latest update and re-registering the product. Now I can get atih to start up, but, can't get any backup task to run - see this post: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/100254.

So, I'd suggest that uninstalling and reinstalling the program may not be the answer, it didn't work for us. If the atih window is opening, but, positioned off-screen, you may try to cascade windows and see if that pulls the atih window in view.
