ATI 2016 Keyboard and mouse stops responding when booting from the rescue disk

Thread needs solution

I'm attempting to restore my SSD from a ATI 2016 image but the Keyboard and mouse stops responding when booting from the rescue disk. I get a few screens into the recover my disk process and then the keyboard and mouse stop responding.

I created the recover disk earlier tonight and have ATI 6027 installed.

I could not find anything in the forum. Does anybody have a solution?

Forgot to mention that I have a USB keyboard (perixx) and a wireless USB mouse (Logitech M310)

I just downloaded Acronis True Image 2016 - Universal Restore build 6027, created a new rescue media, booted and again lose the keyboard and mouse input very shortly after seeing the Universal Restore screen.

I just tired the Startup Recovery and got only one screen further into the process before the keyboard and mouse froze. I think I got further only because I was able to process the steps a bit faster than the previous attempts.

I've had that problem on a few systems as well.  Are you using the default LINUX version of the Acronis bootable media?  If so, are you booting to the 32-bit or 64-bit version?  Try 32-bit, even if your system is 64-bit, I have had better luck with driver compabitiblity with the 32-bit versions.

If that's still not working, I'd recommend you create a Windows PE version of the Acronis bootable media and that should work for sure.  You'll have to download the Windows 10 ADK to your system first, but once installed, Acronis will be able to find it on its own and create the PE bootable media from it.

Also, are you using a USB hub or extender cable on either or your keyboards?  If so, try removing or replacing those - sometimes they cause unexpected issues too.

Solution create a WinPE recovery disk, thanks Bobbo and Acronis support.

The chat support provided a link for the 2015 media addon. I used the link and somehow I got into my account. While there I looked and noticed I had not registered TI 2016 and did so. After registering I noticed that "Acronis True Image 2016 Media add-on" was available and it appeared to be the same as in the link except it is for 2016, I downloaded the 2016 version. As I installed I was prompted to also install the ADK which I download and installed, then the media add-on continued (I had not aborted the oringinal install but left the prompt for the ADK open while I installed ADK) and completed. I then created the boot disk, booted the PC with it and was able to restore using my TIB file. I'm now using my restored PC and as soon as I install a few more applications and make a few tweeks I'm going to create a full backup. Also I need to check and see why TI has not been running per the schedules I had created.
