BU completed "successfully with Errors" Can I rely on it?
I have made an Acronis v9.xxx Bu of my C:/System Back on my XP3.
The Bu was successfully created initially. A Month later I did an incremental Bu which was "successful". When I verified the Bu, it "completed successfully"with Errors". My question is "Can I rely on this to recover my System in event of a crash? My Windows built in System Restore has never worked since I installed Acronis years ago. Is this because I installed Acronis?
I am downloading the latest build ov v9.x and hope this may help. Thanks in anticipation of any response.

Did you check the log from when the backups were made? Did the backup log have any errors, or do you only get them when you do the verification? Does the verification log give any additional details?
I had problem that was somewhat similar to to yours. Mine was "backup completed, but with errors" and the issue turned out to be corruption on the source disk that Acronis was noticing. Running chkdsk /r on the source disk took care of it in my situation.

Thanks for your help. I have checked the logs when backups were made.No errors apeared just" Operation Successful". However the Log after attempting to "Verify say "Completed with errors, Image corrupted" I am getting thewe same result after updatingA cronis True Image yesterday. I cannot believe that it is the disc surface as it is a brand new hardrive. I had replaced the older one in May this year and reindstalled Win XP3 on the new one. Maybe I should try Chkdsk though I have not done the procedure before, at least not since 1988!.
As it stands, do you think that I can rely on the System Recoveryworhing or is it most unlikely?

Thanks, Scott, for your response. I used a Seagate external drive (my Z drive dedicated to Acronis) for the Bup of my C Crive. I will do a C/ :System Bu to another external drive (X) and try verifying that. Should it verify there OK can I copy and paste that to the Acronis dedicated Zone on Z:/?

IF you did a backup rather than a clone, then the backup is a file ending with .tib. You could try copying that file onto your c: drive if there is room and try verifying it there. Then USB issues won't be netering into the matter.

you could run chkdsk and try run memtest for a long time to ensure no wonky spots in memory are causing disk missreads.

Thanks Scott,
I will try doing backup (.tib) onto C Drive and see if that will Verify Without Eroors. All very confusing for an old guy who finds and has always found Acronis somewhat difficult. Will report back.

No, don't backup onto the C: drive; you can't make a disk backup on the same disk you are backing up. I only meant copy the backup you have already made onto the c: drive and then see if it will verify.

Thanks, Scott, I see your point. Will try but later. Cheers
