Restoring files on Windows 7. Is there any option to get old (checkboxed treeview) UI back?

Thread needs solution

True Image 10 really works great on Windows 7. The only thing what really annoys me is when restore hidden or system files - I need to perform that dance with "show hidden files" a described here http://kb.acronis.com/content/3701. It got even worse when I restore files which Windows 7 deems as a "protected operation system files" , e.g. try restoring Outlook .pst file from its default location.

Is there a way to get old good "Restore archive" tree-view UI with a check boxes next to each folder? Though not as sleek as the one we have got now, but much easier to use, especially when restoring a hidden or "protected operation system" files.

Hello Kevin,

Let me help you.

Unfortunately, there's no any options to change GUI to its old layout in the current version of Acronis True Image Home 2010.

However, I've forwarded your request to the responsible department and probably the new GUI will be implemented in future versions of the software.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

I also wanted to let you know that we've just started a public beta-testing of the new version of the software - Acronis True Image Home 2011 with completely revamped GUI. If you want to participate in this program, please visit this link.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.
