Hello Pratt!

Thank you for finding time to open the thread and report about the issue, I will be glad to help.

We had such issue in previous build (11345), but since you are using the latest one and the problem is present it can indicate the issues on the drive. Could you please kindly follow below steps?

  1. Go to Start -> Run -> cmd
  2. Issue the following command:
    chkdsk /r /f
  3. Reboot the computer

Should the issue persist, please provide me with the following information:

  1. Acronis Info
  2. Acronis report

This will help me to localise the issue and find an appropriate solution.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you for the response. I'll do as requested. Please note that I only have remote access to this computer, after business hours. I'll report as soon as I have information.

Thank you.

Dear Pratt!

Thank you for your comment and for cooperation, I really appreciate it!

I've checked the information attached, and here what we have:

Acronis Report show us the following line:
-2  p(2) --CC   71G   71G   11G NTFS   07 NTFS, HPFS   ........... A-E--V
Which indicates that this partition (total space 71G, free space 11G) has bad blocks on it, and check disk didn't fix all of them. Logs also point onto the issues with the drive, so I'd suggest you to run check disk from the Windows Repair CD and try backing up again.

Should he issue persists, please regather logs and Acronis report and attach it to your comment. I would appreciate if you could keep us posted - I'd like to guide this issue till its complete resolution.

Thank you in advance for cooperation and understanding. I'm waiing for news from you!

Thank you.

Hello,

I'm having the same problem on one server with the same error codes (messages are in German). The previously installed True Image Echo Enterprise worked well. BAR is working good on another server with W2K8 x64, but not on this one.

Configuration of the server:
- Dell PowerEdge 2950
- 2x70GB SAS HDDs RAID 1
- Windows Server 2008 x64 Standard EN with SP2
- Acronis BAR 10 Agent Build 11639

I have uninstalled it completely (deleting all Acronis folders and Registry keys) and reinstalled, but still the same problem.
I have run Checkdisk with "chkdsk C: /R /V /F /B", but no bad sectors were found and still the same problem.

The AcronisReport.exe report is attached, but the AcronisInfo.exe crashed with the following messages:
Running with default parameters.
Failed to generate the report from log 'System'.
Failed to generate the report from log 'Application'.
Acronis Reporter has stopped working

I have found some files of AcronisInfo in the temp folder and attached them as AcronisInfo.zip.

Any idea?

Hello Willis!

Welcome to our Forum, it's nice to have you with us! I understand your concern and will be glad to assist.

First of all I'd like to specify that this error could've been caused by the errors on the drive, not only on C:, but on other partitions. So it's always better to run the command as "chkdsk /r /f" so that it could check the entire drive.

Unfortunately without logs it's hard to say what went wrong. Could you please zip and send us the following folders from the problem PC:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\TrueImage\Logs

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\TrueImage\Scripts

Acronis report would also be great.

It will shed some light onto the situation.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you in advance for cooperation

Dear Willis!

Thank you for your reply and for the information attached! I really appreciate it.

I've checked the logs you've kindly attached, but still I need to show it to the Expert's team. I'll create a case, attach the information to it and send to the next level of Support (you'll receive an e-mail notification). This will allow our Expert's team to communicate with you directly.

Should there be any procrastination with the reply - let me know, I'll speed up the process. Ill keep tracking the case as well and as soon as I have any news - will update you immediately.

Thank you once again for cooperation and understanding!
