Screen saver

Thread needs solution

I've been wondering why after all those years there's no screen saver? When running ATI from bootable CD/DVD you can not turn off laptop's display and some operations take hours.

Marek, welcome to these user forums.

This question / request has been raised previously in these forums and there is no facility to use a screen saver in the current bootable versions of the ATIH product.

Please see post: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/115660#comment-344988 where this request was acknowledged by Gaidar, General Manager of Acronis True Image.

In reality modern LCD or LED screen panels are not subject to burnt in display characters as the older generation CRT monitors and TV's were, this is why many modern Operating Systems don't even include screen savers anymore. The simplest method of 'saving' the display is to reduce brightness to a minimum when leaving a long running activity going if possible.
