Can't view tib file from Acronis Restore on USB DRIVE

Thread needs solution

I have a tib file on a usb that is over 100 Gig.

I also have a bootable usb that is under 32 gig.

I boot from the bootable 32 gig usb and go into recovery mode. But when I browse to my second usb containing the tib file. It won't see it. I can see it from windows explorer. How can I get Acronis Restore to recognize the tib file from my 100 gig usb.

Thanks

Ann, welcome to these user forums.

I would assume that your bootable USB rescue media is the standard, linux based media and that you haven't created the Windows PE version of this media?  If this is correct, then this may simply be a limitation for the linux OS environment in being able / not able to recognise your 100GB USB media.

Also, with the linux media, please understand that drive letters may be different to the letters you see used in Windows, so please check that you don't see the tip file on a different drive letter.

I would suggest creating the Windows PE version of the Rescue Media - you will be prompted to download and install the Windows 10 ADK required to do this when you select the Windows PE media version in the Acronis Bootable Rescue media builder application.

The WinPE version of the rescue media should see everything that your Windows OS can see.

Ann, glad to hear all is working for you, thank you for giving feedback.

Ann,

Glad it worked as Steve suggested!

If you get the chance, try building the WinPE with the advanced version of the MVP WinPE builder as well - it has a lot of other nice features that makes using the WinPE a bit more useful.  Any feedback on the tool is also greatly welcome.
