Clone new SSD from SSD and delete partitions on both SSD
I'm putting a new SSD in my computer. I have a SSD already in my computer which is partitioned into C: and D: drives. What I want to do is put the new SSD into the system and make it the C: drive and Keep the one already in the computer as D: drive. I was going to clone the existing SSD to the new SSD which would move both the C: and D: drive to it. Then I was going to delete the file off of the D: drive on the new SSD and remove the partition with Windows 7 disk manager. I would than delete all of C: drive off of the old SSD and remove the partition using Windows 7 disk manager. I was hoping to end up with C: drive on my new SSD and D: drive on my old SSD. Can someone tell me if this would work and would the new C: drive recognize the D: drive and all the programs on them? If not what would be the best course of action to separate these two drive on to two separate SSD's. Thanks for the help!
