Acronis True Image HD

Thread needs solution

Trying to clone my current HD for a lenovo z70-80 onto the new Crucial MX300 SSD, Followed the instructions as per the manual. And upon clicking go, clone, Acronis prompted me saying my laptop would need to restart. 45 minutes later and the laptop is yet to restart. Stuck on "Startin Acronis UEFI Loader..." Screen.

Running windows 10. Only just installed Acronis and signed up with no prior knowledge of the software before attempting to using it this time and all I can say is, it doesn't seem to go well. Yes, after starting this process I have seen the many notes saying not to run it through the application. However that it what has been done in this instance, is there anything I can do?

Travis, welcome to these User Forums.

Acronis True Image HD is an OEM version of the main Acronis True Image Home product and may be an older version with limited functionality, depending on how it has been modified by the OEM vendor?

Unfortunately, when you start a clone from within Windows using ATI, then the product has to modify the Windows Boot Configuration in order to create a temporary (Linux based) boot environment from which to launch the Acronis application to perform the clone action.

If your computer is now stuck on "Starting Acronis UEFI Loader..." Screen, then this may be caused by having Secure Boot enabled in your UEFI BIOS settings.

Please read topic: [IMPORTANT] CLONING - How NOT to do this!!!

If you cannot get back to starting Windows 10 normally, then you may need to try to do a Startup Repair from the Windows 10 Installation DVD or Repair disk.
