Acronis not deleting oldest backups from 2nd Location NAS.
Hi,
We've got 2 backup jobs that backup to rotating USB disks, at the start of the job the disk empty's itself to a NAS, this has worked fine for a long time, where it has been deleting the oldest backups from the NAS to make space for the latest USB copy. This deletion is now not happening, when I run a manual cleanup, it starts copying the data from the USB disk to the NAS, just just fills up the last bit of space on the NAS and not deleting the backups that are months old.
Any ideas? I've tried to run a validation of the NAS and its over 8TB which takes a very long time, and i'm also pressed 'refresh' on the Vault section, but neither has resolved this issue.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Igor
Thanks for replying to my post, is there a private way i can share the files with you though this platform?
Do you know if there is a way to get Acronis to take a fresh look at everything thats in the storage locations and evaluate what the oldest files are etc to move accross off the first location, and then to delete from the second location.
Thanks
Dave

Hello David,
I've sent you an FTP link in a private message, please check your PM (click on My Account at the top -> Dialogs).
You may want clicking on Refresh in the Archive view of the vault, this will force the software to rescan the target location and update the meta information about backups stored in the vault. Then run a Cleanup\Replication job.

Hello David,
Thank you for uploading requested information! I've checked your backup plan and see, that cleanup rules for the second location are set to delete backups When there is insufficient space while backing up. There have been issues with this particular cleanup scheme, so I'd recommend changing the setting to Remove backups older than .. and run retention rules again (right click on the backup plan and run Replication\Cleanup job for the second location.

Thanks, its a shame because its worked for almost a year. I'll change the settings and we'll see how it goes.
