Acronis TI Home 2010 - build 7046 - snapman.sys BSOD

Thread needs solution

Hey guys,
I have a fresh install of Acronis TI home 2010 that will produce a snapman.sys BSOD. Nonstop backup is being used. Is there a build update that I need to get. Also, is there any AUTOMATIC way to delete old nonstop backup files?

Guys, I really need an answer on this. This is a client's computer and the client is going to need it back.

Matthew,

What build is your SNAPMAN.sys?

Does TI make normal images correctly? I'm not certain that TI needs SNAPMAN for NSB as it uses the afcdpsrv.exe, just want to check if the problem actually lies elswhere. I assume that as NSB has been running this is a recent problem, have any software or OS upgrades happened in the meantime?

If by 'automatic' you mean get TI to delete the NSB storage contents then yes you can. It isn't exactly intuitive as I recall - in fact apart from checking out page 50 of the user guide, if you do a search for NSB under my posts someone else some months ago had a problem and I posted some screen shots of what to look for.

I'll be re-installing 2010 on one of my systems probably tomorrow, so might be able to repost some snipshots.

Colin - Snapman.sys build 7046 and I will look for the deletion info. I read here that there was a newer build but I can't find it.

Matthew, I think you might have looked at the wrong build number - snapman is normally something like build 557 or 380 etc.

where do i find the snapman.sys build number?

Check out the attached snip - note your build may not be the same as mine as this shot was taken with ABR10 installed not TIH2011.
