Automatic consolidation not working

Thread needs solution

My Archive has files dating all the way back to November last year, so it appears this option is not working, even though I have it checke din my backup schedule.

How can I gget the consolidation to work and cleanup these old files as I am running out of disk space now.

folks will need some further info to help. What version of ATi are you using? what OS? What kind of task did you create, file ackup, disk backup. . .

Russ,
The new 2011 versiion has improved consolidation and more consolidation options. Perhaps you might want to try out the trail version. Modifications to prior versions usually do not occur.

If you do, be sure and create a cuirrent full disk backup with your current version should you decide to want to go back to your old version.

Un-install your prior version before installing the the trial version. If you decide to keep and use, you can input your purchased serial number into the trial version without un-installing the trial.

I need to sort this problem b4 i can try 2011 as I no longer have enough space for my incremental backup.

I am running TIH2010
windows 2007 64bit
partition/incremental backup

I have also tried to do manual consolidation, but it just says initializing and never des anything, I left it going all night. I also cannot cancel the task either, it still sits there.

Another possibility is to consider using Chain2Gen (C2G) which is a helper program for TrueImageHome (TIH). C2G was written by forum contributor MVP Oracledba

TrueImage runs the tasks which does the scheduling and creates the backups, whereas, C2G provides the controls on when the full backup should be created. or how many to be retained. C2G offers many choices.

If interested, click on my signature index below (or my guides (index) listed under the Useful Links option along the left Window margin) and select items 3-B & 3-A within the index reference.

C2G can be used with most any version of TIH including 2010 and 2011.
