Syncagentsrv.exe Beating Network UP
First of all, what does Syncagentsrv.exe do? Second, why is it consistently the most active process for network activity with 10% of ITS activity "sent", data with the other 90% "received" data? I don't use the cloud backup feature (at least not consciously), although in the "Sync" pane there is a cloud source / destination under the network name of my machine. I have not clicked the "Join Now" button, (nor do I intend to in the near future) so I have no idea what this process is "sync"-ing.
Is it necessary when simply doing local scheduled and manual backups? If not, is it safe to disable from services or msconfig?

wmc, in addition to Bruno's comments above, please see KB 60522: Acronis True Image 2018: Windows services and processes which has a description of these elements of the application.
You can also look at the MVP User Tools and Tutorials link contents (in the Useful Links section of the Forum page) and find some batch command files that can be used to automate the stopping / starting of various services.

Thanks.
I gather from KB 60522 (although it is not explicitly stated) that syncagentsrv is sync for cloud backups and would be safe for me to set to manual or disable.
Nonstop backup is interesting. The KB article does not really say how it works or what it does and there is no UI setting to turn it on or off. So, being a guy who gets stuck in the details, I'm wondering where it thinks it is backing up partitions and what is it actually backing up, because I see no large files accumulating or partition backups other than what I have manually initiated or scheduled to run at certain times. So I am wondering if it is just caching / making copies of MFT or other stystem level partition information rather than backing up actual partition contents - sort of like a back-up of info you would define in Control Panel->Admin tools->Computer Management->Disk Management?

wmc, when you create a backup task and go to the scheduling page, there is a nonstop option.

Ah - missed that one.
Anyway, since none of my backups use it, I guess it is safe to disable (or set to manual start) the non-stop backup service.
