date and time and backup

Thread needs solution

Does it necessary that the machine to be backup and the AMS server is the same before performing the backup to have the actual estimated time?

What to do if we run the backup already and forgot to change the time. Can we change the time while running the backup or we must stop the backup first before editing the time?

Thanks

Hi,

The time on the agent side may differ from AMS time - it's not a bad situation. When you apply a backup plan and set it to run for example at 10PM, then it will be running at 10PM using local agent time (not AMS time), while when you connect to backup console, the "Next backup" and other time-related information will be shown in your local time. In the above example if AMS time is agent time minus 2 (at 10PM on agent, it is 8PM on AMS), the "Next backup" time will appear as 8PM, while in the plans details it will be shown as 10PM (local agent time).

Thank you.
