Backup set display utility
Does Acronis have a utility that I can point at a directory where it can browse all the files and display their backup sets. I want to do this because I am not sure that what ATIH2011 displays in the GUI is what is happening within the files on disk and I wanted to cross check.

Sorry for the delay in replying. The issue is that I have been using ATIH2011 Build 5519 and as you are aware Consolidation does not work correctly. In one instance after consolidation messed up I used the GUI to try and consolidate and delete the backups so there was space on the disk to make further backups.
When I did this on one occasion it deleted a set of backups that were unrelated to the information displayed in the GUI. When you do a restore ATIH does not look at the locations where backups are located and ensure that it has an up to date picture in its database.
e.g. take a full backup + 7 incrementals on the following 7 days and then restore back to day 3 and the database will know nothing about the last 5 incrementals. I am not yet convinced the ATIH has the intelligence to sort out what is actually on disk v its database correctly.
I did raise this issue when doing beta testing, but it fell on deaf ears I feel.
This has happened again and this time data files after consolidation become orphaned from the creating task and once that happens the space they occupy is no longer used in the calculations to decide when to do the next consolidation hence the disk once again fills up.
The utility is required to match what files exist and what is stored in the database against the tasks.
That way maybe we can actually identify the areas that need fixing in the main code. Then I hope that we will eventually end up with a product that actually works properly. Believe me I have been waiting over a year now for this to happen and like a lot of others my patience is beginning to run out.
Acronis needs to actually put some effort into this. The backup engine seems to be pretty solid it is the bits that manage it that need work. To me it is not a complicated thing to work out and test, the rules are pretty simple - unfortunately it takes time and effort and Acronis have had long enough to do this by now I feel.

Personnaly, I've the strong feeling that ATIH 2011 beta testing period is *still* active.
