snapapi.dll - C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Temp
Every two minutes a new folder is created in:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Temp
with the name "dl#####" (dl1EAE7, dl3BD75, etc)
and each of these folders contain the same file - snapapi.dll (222 KB).
It took me several days to figure out that I was gradually losing space in my drive because of this (1.5 GB in ten days).
Steps I took:
1. I've changed "Acronis Nonstop Backup service" to Manual mode
2. I've followed the solution in http://kb.acronis.com/content/1620
3. I've changed the folder "SnapAPI" in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis to "SnapAPI-DISABLED"
4. I've changed the file "snapman.sys" in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers to "snapman-DISABLED.sys"
Thanks,
Guy

I've contacted Anton (Moderator) that day, and he said:
"this is a known issue in our software and at the moment we are still investigating and trying to reproduce it. We are planning to release an update to Acronis True Image 2010 Home soon and our Development team told us that this issue will be addressed there."

Hello Guy...,
That's interesting. Anton is away for couple of days. I'll discuss this issue with him tomorrow and update you on the progress.
Thanks,
Andrey.

I've managed to block the creation of files in this folder (as a temporary solution until there will be a official fix for this).
1. Right click on C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile and selecet Properties
2. Go to Security tab
3. Click on Advanced
4. Click on Edit (for every entry in the "Permission entries" list)
5. Uncheck:
- Full Control
- Traverse Folder / Execute Files
- Create Files / Write Data
- Create Folders / Append Data
