James,

To do what?

What are you hoping/needing to do?

What type of system do you have?

Is this a home system and network or a company one?

Is this for one PC or a server/workstation environment.

As I mentioned in your other thread, TIH 2011 or ABR10.

TIH 2011 would do what you require.

I suggest you download the trial version and make a rescue CD, then with external drives attached boot each laptop in turn and ensure that when booted form the CD, your mouse and keyboard work, and that the system doesn't hang - assuming you have no problems here, boot back into Windows and see if you like the feel of the TIH interface.

Once an imaging task is set up, it can be scheduled so that for the most part everything else will be automatic.

If you decide to purchase TIH then perform the following for security purposes.

1. Make a text file with your serial number in it or download the serials.txt file from your account. Label it accordingly.

2. Keep the TIH installer file and serial.txt file on your PC, make sure that it is included in any image you make - if you make complete disk images then this will automatically happen.

3. Have a copy of the installer on the rescue CD, tape the serial number on the CD - this is all in case something goes wrong and you have no internet access to redownload your installer file and serial number also include the version and build number on the CD label.

4. Give all your drives or partitions meaningful labels.

As the rescue environment is Linux based, drives will often get different access letters than when in Windows, this helps to alleviate confusion as the labels never change.
