Old emails keep being sent out

Thread needs solution

ASB 11.5 keeps sending out old failure emails. The backup failure issue has been rectified but I cannot find where to remove the old emails/alerts. There are no alerts showing in the AMS console. I don't even see the 'email event' in the log in AMS. The email that gets sent out is the management server email alert notifications.  I do want those but not old ones that have been resolved. 

I'm guessing there has to be some old log file that is not being removed or something.

Any suggestions?
