Network sharing problem after installed Acronis True Image Home 2010

Thread needs solution

I installed Acronis True Image Home 2010 on my Windows XP computer. After installed, other computers can't access the shared folder on this computer anymore. How to fix it?

Hello,

Execute Regedit at the command prompt.
Look Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM.... ControlSet001 ...002 etc You may have more than one controlset, then Services, Lanmanserver, parameters
You are looking for IRPStackSize, if not to be found, you will have to create the new entry and assign the value. If you have to do this, here is how:
In a blank area under lanmanserver, on the right side ( in the white space) do a RIGHT CLICK and select NEW then select DWORD and enter IRPStackSize with the value 33 decimal.

Best way to find it...
Just execute regedit, Do a FIND for this: IRPStackSize
Notice some letters are in CAPS
Change the value to Decimal 33
Save and Reboot.
You may have to make the same changes on all your networked machines.
This change worked for me. After installing TIH2010 and 2011, I could no longer see the shares I had set up to transfer files between 2 XP SP3 machines.

Hope this helps...Need more info, message me.

I increased IRPStackSize to 18, problem solved. This screenshots of the procedure helps a lot. Thanks.
