Problems installing Acronis Backup and Recovery

Hi

I have a problem with Installing Acronis, I have managed to install it on some machines and on others it just falls over at the first step installing the server. I can run exactly the same package on my laptop and it will work fine, Other machines are using XP with SP2 is this a problem? I have XP with SP3. I have also ran the clean up utility but this has had no affect.

I have added a file of the logs from when it fails if that makes any sense?

Thank you for the information provided. Unfortunately MSI log didn't give much information regarding the cause of the issue, but nevertheless we can try to workaround it:

  1. Go to start -> Run -> and issue there the following address:
    %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\
  2. Choose Hosts and remove the line related to IPv6.

After that the installation should run properly. In case the issue remains, please gather

  1. Windows Event Logs
    (Start -> Run -> eventvwr.msc)
  2. Procmon
  3. Acronis Info
  4. MSI log

After that please contact support directly with the information attached. Keep in mind that should there be any procrastination with the reply, you can always specify us the case number. We will do our best to speed up the process.
