True Image Home 2011 disk backup error while writing the file

Thread needs solution

After installing and registering tih2011 ,I attempted to do a full disk backup(bootable). The HD is a HP 1TB 64bit with partitions c:\ and D:\. The process went smoothly to my dvd-r disks, volumes 1-8,after inserting and starting volume 9, window popped up "volume 9 fail". I then went to the log. Here are the last few entries:
10:07:39 pending operation ?47 started: creating partition image
10:07:39 locking partition
10:11:09 please insert the next volume......mark as 8
10:13:47 please insert the next volume......mark as 8
mark as volme 8 and insert the next disk
10:19:25 operation with partition 1-0 was terminated
10:19:25 X write error
10:19:25 X error occured while writing the file
10:19:25 X operation has completed with errors
Now, my question is, are the 8 volumes good to go or is the whole operation a waste of 8 DVD-R's?
Also what do I do next ? Is this a common problem?
Any help is appreciated.

Hello guy nix,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forum. I will do my best to assist you.

Most likely the backup on the 8 volumes will not be good, I am sorry for any inconvenience. As a workaround, you can create a backup and split it automatically into 4 GB chunks, there is an option in our software which allows to do this. After that, you can burn the .tib files manually.

The backup failure could have been caused by errors on the hard drive, an issue with the DVD disk itself or the DVD burner.

Occasionally there are issues with saving backups to removable media such as CD/DVDs, we will need to investigate them individually.

Please collect the following reports and contact our Support team so that we can resolve the problem:

1. AcronisInfo report.

2. CDRecord log.

If you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.
