How do you create a exact replica image of a corrupted disk?
Thread needs solution
A client of mine had a disk which was wrongly reformatted and lost all the data. Now I have the disk and I need to make an exact image of the disk and run a recovery utility on it, ie TestDisk, PhotoRec and the like.
What are the options True Image needs to make an exact bit image copy of the disk and mount it so that I can run the recovery utilities on it? ie create a mountable TrueImage that can be made to appear to TestDisk or Photorec like the actual hard disk?
Will it be better to get the exact same size or bigger disk and do the Clone disk approach?
