Stuck in re-boot hell after uninstall TIH 2011

Thread needs solution

I've been a user for over 6 years and would like to uninstall TIH 2011. About a week ago, I updated to TIH2011. I was never able to get it to work . . at all. It would install fine, appear to load fine and then hang while starting an image session. From another posting regarding that problem, Acronis support sent me a link to a SnapAPI. It downloaded and installed without incident, but it didn't do anything to help the stalling issue. I decided to uninstall TIH entirely, but repeated tries were all unsuccessful.. I then found similar problems about uninstalling 2011 in other postings. I found KB #14871 and tried the Acronis CleanUp Utility, including DevCon as described therein. The procedure seemed to go without incident. However, on the first subsequent re-boot, it continues to do just that . . . endlessly. OS is XP Pro SP3, and as soon as the XP "splash" screen (the one with the blue crawler bar) reaches about 50% brightness it will spontaneously reboot endlessly. The uninstall process has obviously messed with a critical Windows element needed to boot. Any suggestions to resolve? How can it get 2011 uninstalled and restore my HD to bootable condition??

One easy option would be to use one of your old backups and restore your system back to the date and condition of your backup.

After a successful reboot of a prior backup, you could leave your system with its existing version of TrueImage Home; or, it the installed version is one of the below, you could use the 2011 cleanup utility and try again.
