Q about restoring a full backup to different disk config using TI2009
Hi, Following numerous and more frequent hard disk errors and blue screens I have decided to bite the bullet and replace my hard disk and restore from my backups (hoping not to have to re-install all software). I have a full disk image with a couple of incremental backups from a couple of days back but am unable to do anymore backups due to Acronis being unable to read certain sectors of data.
I currently have two 500gb disks in a Raid 0 configuration. I am intending to replace it with a single 1Tb disk (non-raid obviously). Will I be able to do this or would I have to stick to a Raid 0 config?
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Dmitry. The guys on the Chat service convinced me it couldn't be done so I have stuck to the Raid 0 config. In the end True Image 2010 couldn't/wouldn't read the TI2009 backups so I ended up re-installing everything again. Fortunately I had a spare external drive and I managed to get all my data off onto this.
Cheers
Gerry

Gerry:
To me this doesn't sound like much to "cheer" about.
You should be able to restore to a single disk, and the TI-2010 certainly should read TI-2009 images. Acronis guarantees "one version" compatibility.
I'd like to be able to purchase TI in a simple version that works rather than a complex version filled with fluff. Give me reliable backup and restore, that's all I need.
