ATI bootable media in evaluation version

Thread needs solution

Will a bootable USB-stick made in the evaluation version also expire after a month? Should I redo the stick once I've got a licence?

Ivan, welcome to these public User Forums.

If I recall correctly from when this question has been asked previously, I understand that the USB rescue media will continue to work after your trial expires but would only be able to be used by booting from it (as expected for how it is used).

I would say it is best to recreate the USB media after moving to a fully licensed version mainly to ensure there will be no surprises further along when you may need to use the media for a real recovery situation.

The evaluation rescue media is limited in capability, but should continue to allow you to recover beyond the 30 days.  The main limitation of the 30 days is in the desktop application.  But all-a-round the trial rescue media is "neutered".  Yup, I would rebuild it once licensed though so you get all of the functionality and features.
