File permissions

Thread needs solution

Greetings..
I ran into this problem a few years back, and can't remember how I resolved it!!

My computer will not allow me to deal with certain files, saying:
“You do not have permission to open this file. See the owner
of this file or an administrator to obtain permission.”

In this case, an Acronis script file (.tis )

I am the ONLY user to ever use this machine, bought a few months ago to replace a laptop that died.
Having used many versions of Acronis over many years doing regular full backups, I was very quickly back up and running after a restore using my most recent full backup from external drive!

Everything works exactly as the prior machine until this issue – functions such as installs and updates saying “run as administrator” work as expected. I may not have a clear understanding of the administrator/permission concept. As I said, I did run into this issue a few years back on another computer, but not sure how it got resolved.

Thanks for any advice….. Robert

Robert, Acronis Active Protection will need to be turned off before you can work with .tib.tis files as these are protected!
