Is the Bootable Rescue Media of ATI 2020 any better than the one of ATI 2014?
Mainly using the Bootable Rescue Media for backups. Got ATI 2014 and thinking of upgrading to ATI 2020. Is the latest Bootable Rescue Media any better?

Can you mount encrypted volumes like those made by truecrypt and veracrypt from the current Bootable Rescue Media? In other words, does it allow you to install VeraCrypt Portable 1.24-Update6.exe to its ramdisk?

Ethan, the initial answer to your question is no as there is no support for encryption in any of the Acronis rescue media.
However, you can use the MVP Custom ATIPE builder script (link below) to add BitLocker support to the WinPE version of rescue media.
If the VeraCrypt Portable software will run from WinPE then you should be able to also add that in via the option to add in your own Extras using the MVP tool. WinPE has its own limitations which require that any portable tools much match the architecture of the PE media, i.e. all be 64-bit or all be 32-bit. You cannot run 32-bit code on a 64-bit WinPE.
None of the Linux versions of rescue media have ever supported any form of encryption nor allowed any extra tools to be injected to the media etc.

I guessed ATI but cannot guess what MVP stands for.

Ethan, click on the MVP icon under my name in the forum, or that of any of the other MVP's for an explanation of what it stands for.
